Oktoberfest 2010

Wherever the location, I’ll provide the German cuisine and beer. – Louis

The first annual Kriegerley Oktoberfest was held the first Saturday in October in San Diego.  We all had a blast and look forward to many years of family coming together to eat damn fine German food and drink beer out of unusually large mugs :)

Dad Krieger – enjoying an early Stein.

Mom Krieger, getting the food going in the kitchen.

Our own personal beer garden.

Louis, enjoying the first stein.  Louis was kind enough to bring authentic German beer for all, along with authentic German non-alcoholic brew

My first stein

Shiloh made Homemade Bavarian Pretzels:

Awesome venison and boar brats from Iowa Meats – topped with Louis’ sauerkraut!

I missed photos of the rest of the food – but we had a ridiculous menu!  Louis made:

* Sauerbraten (marinated beef roast)
* Blaukraut (German red cabbage)
* Spaetzle (dough noodles – one with ham, one with Emmental cheese)
*Wienerschnitzel (breaded and fried pork cutlets)

*Plus he brought amazing German mustard for the pretzels and brats!
