White Mountain 2015

“We shall eventually get to love the mountain for the very fact she has forced the utmost out of us, lifted us up for one precious moment high above our ordinary life and shown us beauty and purity we should have never known if we had not faced the mountain squarely and battled strongly with her.”  – A man who’d climbed a few high peaks

White Mountain 14,246 ft, California’s third highest peak,  a 15 mile round trip hike. I will remember our maiden voyage to the summit on a sunny mid October day, the first to hike several days after a snowstorm covering the trail and mountains in a beautiful white blanket. Shiloh and I had no idea that we would be doing a snow hike and were a little unprepared bringing only sneakers but we did have wool socks and plenty of warm clothing for our adventure. From above you have a stunning 100 mile long panorama of the Sierra Nevada. This was an incredible challenge for both us with a great reward seeing the Sierra in all its immensity.

Selfie :). Millennials are without a doubt the selfie generation and according to a new survey, they will take a whopping 25,000 photos of themselves in their lifetime
